GENIPIN Usage
It is a natural cross-linking agent extracted from the fruits of Gardenia jasminoides Ellis. It can prevent lipid peroxidation and the generation of nitric oxide. It also has anti-inflammatory and anti-angiogenic effects.
In Tattoo Inks
-Natural Coloring: Genipin itself has color and can react with skin proteins to form stable blue or blue – black complexes for coloring. Compared with chemically synthesized pigments, it has good biocompatibility and low sensitization, reducing the risk of allergic adverse reactions during the tattooing process.
-Durable Color Display: The complex formed by the combination of genipin and skin proteins is stable, making the tattoo color last for a long time and not easy to fade.
In Hair Dyes
-Natural Dye Component: It can interact with keratin in hair to color the hair, which is attractive to consumers who pursue natural, chemical – free hair dye products.
-Gentle Hair Care: Unlike traditional hair dyes containing ammonia and hydrogen peroxide, genipin causes less damage to hair. It can maintain the luster and softness of hair, reducing problems such as dryness and breakage.
-Health-care Efficacy: Its antioxidant and anti – inflammatory properties can protect the hair and scalp during hair dyeing, reduce external damage, and promote scalp health.
Genipin has diverse applications in the medical field, mainly as follows:
-Anti-inflammation: Inhibits the release of multiple inflammatory mediators, relieves acute and chronic inflammation, applicable to treating inflammatory diseases like arthritis and enteritis.
-Neuroprotection: Improves nerve function by inhibiting neuronal apoptosis and reducing oxidative stress damage, showing therapeutic potential in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease research.
-Liver protection: Reduces drug-induced and alcoholic liver injuries. The mechanism involves regulating liver metabolic enzyme activity and suppressing oxidative stress and inflammation, maintaining normal liver function.
-Cardiovascular protection: Lowers blood lipids, inhibits platelet aggregation and vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation, used for preventing and treating cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease.
Antitumor: Inhibits the proliferation of various tumor cells and induces apoptosis. It exerts antitumor activity by regulating tumor cell signaling pathways and inhibiting tumor angiogenesis, offering new ideas and targets for tumor treatment.
-Tissue engineering and regenerative medicine: As a natural cross-linker, it cross-links with biological macromolecules like collagen and chitosan to form 3D scaffolds with good biocompatibility and mechanical properties, promoting tissue repair and regeneration.
GENIPIN Package and Storage :
25 kg cardboard drum with an inner PE (polyethylene) bag.
Store at a low temperature ranging from -20°C to 4°C. Keep the environment dry to prevent moisture. Avoid light exposure and use a sealed package to prevent contact with air.
