Content analysis method
1. The methoxy group content was determined by the GT-14 method, and then the percentage of eugenol methyl ether (C11H14O2) was calculated as follows:
C11H14O2 (%) = methoxy (%) × 178.2 / 31.03
2.Gas chromatographic analysis using a non-polar column in GT-10-4.
Usage
1. Can be used as a scent of cloves. It can produce a mild foundation in floral or herbal or oriental fragrances. Can be used in small amounts in roses, carnation, ylang-ylang, lilac, hazelnut, hyacinth, white orchid, acacia, tuberose, scented perilla, lavender, laurel rum, male cologne, etc. For flavoring, it is mainly used as a modifier for Xinxiang, providing a ginger-like aroma, etc., which can also be used in tobacco flavors.
2. It is coated on paper with volatile methyl eugenol and hung in a citrus garden to attract a large number of male citrus fruit flies and eliminate them.
