    RUCL3 is a common starting material in ruthenium chemistry and is used to make heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysts. 

  • Hydrogen evolution reaction

    RUCL3 can be used to prepare graphene aerogel with ultralow ruthenium loading that exhibits electrocatalytic performance in the hydrogen evolution reaction. 

  • Perovskite solar cells

    RUCL3 can be used as a dopant to prepare a Ru-doped TiO2 electron transport layer for mesoscopic perovskite solar cells. 

  • Zinc air batteries

    RUCL3 can be used to fabricate ultra-uniform Ru nanocluster catalysts that exhibit excellent hydrogen evolution activity in zinc air batteries. 

  • Selective hydrogenation

    RUCL3 can be used for the selective hydrogenation of unsaturated aldehydes
